My name is Dave Felps and I am the pastor at Chapel Hill.  I am glad you found our website and I hope to see you at the church in the near future.

Chapel Hill is a wonderful church.  There are lots of caring and faith filled people here and I am thrilled to be in ministry with each of them.  We are a church that believes it is mandatory to be connected to our community in the name of Jesus. Faith is something you practice. It is not a set of ideals locked away in our head where nobody else can see it.  Faith is lived out through an individuals walk with God and also within the life of the church (Paul calls the church the Body of Christ.  We have many ways to serve Jesus as we live our faith.  Our Food Panty, Green Bridges Community Garden, Meals on Wheels, Recovery at San Antonio and our Thanksgiving meal (in memory of Fern Ross and Dorothy Minter) are several examples of the way we reach out to show God's love.

In addition to our ministries of outreach, we also have a variety of small groups and we encourage everyone to be in a group of people who study together, care for one another and do Kingdom work hand in hand.  Relationships are the building blocks of our faith.  Connection with God and neighbor through love is the greatest commandment and we small groups are the best way to learn this type of connection.  Our youth group and children are active too.  They have passionate leaders who work with our young ones to begin building a life of faith.

Our worship on Sunday mornings is casual.  We don't really care how you dress, you will be warmly welcomed.  We play both hymns and contemporary praise music.  We have a nursery, but if you would like your children to worship with you, they are welcome. On Thursday nights, we have worship service devoted to healing using the 12 steps, we call it Recovery at San Antonio.  The service is led by a praise band and everyone is encouraged to come as you are.  No need to be perfect (because nobody is).  Here at Chapel Hill, we pray, sing, worship, work and play together.  We are serious about helping people build lives of faith, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun together!!

I hope you will come to experience Chapel Hill for yourself. This is a place filled with hospitality, faith and the Grace of God.
